Who It's For
For the people who keep hearing they should "use AI" and have no trustworthy place to start. Realtors, insurance and mortgage pros, attorneys, financial advisors, accountants, contractors, and salespeople. If you run a small business, you are curious about AI, and you are short on time, this is built for you.
Who You Are Dealing With
I am Adam Dunlap. I write the skills on this site, I check the tools they point to, and I am the person who shows up if you book an AI Quickstart. There is no team behind this and no account manager: a note to GeekThangs reaches me, and I answer it myself, usually within one business day.
I work out of St Clair Shores and drive to clients around Metro Detroit. An AI Quickstart happens at your desk, on your machine, with your real files, which is the whole reason it is worth a day.
Why Everything Here Is Free
Every skill on this site is complete and free to run by hand: copy the prompt, paste it into free Claude or ChatGPT, answer its questions. Nothing is held back for a paid tier. The business behind the site is AI Quickstart: one day where I set up Claude on your computer and teach it your business, so those same skills run in your voice, on your files, without the copy-paste. The library proves the work. The AI Quickstart makes it yours.
How I Keep It Honest
Every tool I point to is one I checked. I only link a how-to when the page is real, and if I cannot verify something, I leave it out. No fake testimonials, no invented numbers, no made-up client logos: the example outputs on the skill pages are labeled samples, not smuggled proof. And I am upfront about where AI trips up, because you should never have to wonder whether a prompt will get you in trouble.
Browse free. Run it yourself. Or have it set up at your desk in a day.
The -Thangs family
GeekThangs is the first of a planned family of "-Thangs" sites. Same plain-English approach, same clean look, each one aimed at a different thing people find intimidating. I am starting with the geeky thangs because that is where the most people feel stuck right now. More corners of "made doable" come later.
