Browsing the site
Reading these pages sets no cookie and creates no account. The fonts are served from this site rather than a font network, so nobody else is told which pages you read. We use PostHog to see how the site gets used: which pages are viewed, where people click, and anonymous recordings of a visit to a page, so we can spot what is confusing or broken. It runs without cookies or any other storage on your device, so nothing links one visit to the next. Anything typed into a form is hidden from the recordings and never reaches PostHog. The site is hosted on Vercel, which like every host keeps standard server logs for security and reliability. That isn't something this site reads or uses.
Writing to us
The contact form asks for your name, an email address so we have somewhere to reply, a phone number if you would like a call (optional), and what you would like to improve.
If you came to this site through a link from one of our partners, the form also tells us which partner sent you, so we can thank them. Your browser holds that note only until you close the tab, and it goes nowhere unless you send the form.
Who else sees it
The form is handled by Zoho, which receives the submission and emails it to Hello@GeekThangs.com. Zoho uses your message only to deliver it, and a copy stays in the GeekThangs account it delivers to until it is deleted. Google is the mail provider on the inbox it arrives in. No other company touches it, and the contact form has no database behind it.
The AI Game Plan chat
The AI Game Plan is a free planning chat with an AI, and GeekThangs pays for every session. Because of that, we keep a copy of the whole conversation: every question the AI asked, every answer you gave, any files you attached, the plan it wrote, and notes drawn from the conversation about your business, such as the tools you use. Your browser also keeps the conversation on your device for up to 7 days, so you can close the page and come back to it. Start Over clears it.
Along with the conversation we keep what you picked to start (your goal, industry, business size, and your business name and website if you gave them), the approximate city and region your connection comes from, your browser type, the page that sent you, and a scrambled code made from your internet address so we can limit how many sessions one visitor starts in a day. The address itself is never stored. When you ask for your plan by email, we also keep your name and email, plus your business name, phone and who told you about it if you fill those in.
We use all of this to send you your plan (and, if you ask, a link to finish later), to follow up with you about it, to understand how we can help businesses like yours, and to improve the AI Game Plan. Asking for your plan by email includes your permission for GeekThangs to email you about it.
Four companies handle it for us. Anthropic provides the AI model: your messages go to it so it can write the replies, and it doesn't use them to train its models. Supabase stores the conversation and your details. Zoho sends your plan by email and keeps our customer records. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is starting the chat. We keep it until you ask us to delete it.
Nothing is sold, rented, or shared. No advertising network, no data broker, and no mailing list you can be added to without asking. We use what you send us to answer you and, for the AI Game Plan, as described above.
Having it deleted
Write to Hello@GeekThangs.com and ask. Tell us the address you wrote from and we will delete what we have and confirm it, or tell you what is there if you would rather see it first. No reason needed, and it need not be formal: one line is enough.
This is a site about running a small business. It isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
About this page
The date at the top moves when this page does, and if the site ever starts collecting something it doesn't collect today, this page changes first. This is a plain-English description of what a small business website does. It isn't legal advice.
