What this site collects

Almost nothing, and only if you type it. No cookies, no accounts, no advertising, and nothing that follows you around. Here is the whole of it, in plain language.

If you do not write to me, this site knows nothing about you.

Browsing the site

Reading these pages sets no cookie and creates no account. The fonts are served from this site rather than a font network, so nobody else is told which pages you read. There is currently no analytics of any kind. If that changes it will be a cookieless one, and this page will say so first. The site is hosted on Vercel, which like every host keeps standard server logs for security and reliability. That is not something this site reads or uses.

Writing to me

There is no form on this site. The contact page opens your own mail app with my address in it, so what I receive is an ordinary email: whatever you chose to write, from whatever address you chose to send it from. Nothing is collected at the moment you click, and nothing is stored here.

Who else sees it

Nobody in between. Mail to Hello@GeekThangs.com lands in a Google Workspace mailbox I own and read; Google is the mail provider and no other company touches it. There is no form processor, no CRM, no marketing tool, and no database behind this site.

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared. No advertising network, no data broker, and no mailing list you can be added to without asking. I use what you send me to answer you, and for nothing else.

Having it deleted

Write to Hello@GeekThangs.com and ask. Tell me the address you wrote from and I will delete what I have and confirm it, or tell you what is there if you would rather see it first. No reason needed, and it need not be formal: one line is enough.

This is a site about running a small business. It is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect anything from them.

One honest note

The date at the top moves when this page does, and if the site ever starts collecting something it does not collect today, this page changes first. This is a plain-English description of what a small brochure site actually does. It is not legal advice and it was not written by a lawyer. If anything here looks wrong, tell me and I will fix it.
